Dr. Richard Kimmel named as an Osteopathic Guardian by the American Osteopathic Association

Dr. Richard Kimmel, owner and founder of The Kimmel Institute, has been named by the American Osteopathic Association as a “Guardian of the Profession”. A Guardian of the Profession is an osteopathic physician who advances the culture of osteopathic medicine by having served in a local, state or national osteopathic leadership role. A Guardian also demonstrates a strong sense of pride in the osteopathic medical profession and works actively to advance osteopathic medicine with colleagues and the general public.
Dr. Kimmel is the owner and founder of The Kimmel Institute, a premier vein treatment, laser and aesthetic practice located in Boca Raton. A nationally-recognized board-certified Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon, Dr. Kimmel has been in private practice in South Florida since 1991. Effective November, 2013, Dr. Kimmel is serving as the President of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons (ACOS), a national organization committed to assuring excellence in osteopathic surgical care. His credentials and experience have made The Kimmel Institute a designated training center for other physicians and staff in the use of the Dornier Laser System for vein treatment.
