Richard D. Kimmel, DO, FACOS, FCCP, Medical Director
Dr. Kimmel is a Board Certified Cardiothoracic and Vascular (CTV) Surgeon who has been in private practice in South Florida since 1991. Â He is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, a Clinical Investigator with the NIH, an Affiliate Member of the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center of the University of South Florida, and an Assistant Clinical Instructor in Surgery at the Nova-Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Davie, Florida.
As a nationally recognized CTV Surgeon, Dr Kimmel is the past Chairman of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons’ Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Discipline, and is currently a member of the Board of Governors of the ACOS.
Dr. Kimmel’s experience has made the Boca Vein Center a designated training center for other physicians and their staffs in the use of the Dornier Laser System for vein treatments and vein center management.
Julie Foster, RN
Ms. Foster has worked with Dr. Kimmel since 1994 and is responsible for the clinical aspects of his office practice. As a nurse, she is directly involved with patient care in the management of vascular disorders.
Donna Streck
Ms. Streck has worked for Dr. Kimmel since 1994 as his office administrator. She continues her work at the Boca Vein Center in working with both the clients and staff in the development and delivery of the vein treatment program.
Clara Lingerfeldt, RVT
Ms. Lingerfeldt is a registered vascular ultrasound technologist with a special interest in venous disease. Her focus is on both performing ultrasound studies as well as assisting with clinical patient care in the office.
Melissa Briggs, RVT
Ms. Briggs is a registered vascular ultrasound technologist. She performs vascular ultrasound studies on our patients and assists with our office-based vein treatments.
